HOW TO CARE FOR OUR PRODUCTS
OUTERWEAR
Our outerwear is crafted from durable, high-quality natural fibers and designed for longevity. Frequent washing is not required, airing and spot cleaning when needed help maintain structure, finish, and performance over time.
Air & refresh
Outerwear does not require frequent cleaning. After wear, hang the garment in a well-ventilated area to allow natural fibers to breathe and refresh.
SPOT CLEAN
For minor marks, gently clean the affected area with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid excessive friction to protect the fabric and structure.
Professional cleaning
When a full clean is required, follow the care label carefully. Professional dry cleaning is recommended for tailored or structured outerwear.
Store with Care
Hang outerwear on a sturdy, well-shaped hanger and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain form and longevity.
KNITWEAR
Our knitwear is made from premium natural fibers and does not need to be washed after every wear. Washing only when necessary helps preserve its shape, quality, and longevity while saving resources.
washing
Turn your garment inside out and hand wash in cold or lukewarm water (max 40°C). Use a detergent specifically for alpaca or other delicate fibers. Avoid rubbing, wringing, or twisting.
drying
Gently press out excess water without wringing. Lay the garment flat on a towel in its natural shape and allow it to air dry away from direct sunlight or heat.
IRONING
Iron on a low heat setting if needed, preferably with a cloth between the iron and the garment. Steam can be used gently to remove wrinkles without pressing directly.
STORING
Fold your knitwear neatly and store in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging, which can stretch fibers, and consider breathable storage bags to protect from moths and dust.
ACCESSORIES
Our accessories are crafted from the same exceptional alpaca and vicuña fibers as our garments. Simple, gentle care ensures they maintain their softness, shape, and quality, so you can enjoy them for years to come.
Light Cleaning
Gently wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid soaking or harsh detergents.
Dry Naturally
If damp, allow items to air dry away from heat or direct sunlight.
Store Safely
Keep accessories in a drawer or breathable bag to protect from friction, light, and moisture.
Handle with Care
Minimize wear-and-tear by treating fibers gently during use and storage.
CARE FAQ
Pilling
Even high-quality baby alpaca can develop small pills over time, especially in areas with friction like under the arms or at the cuffs. Pilling is a natural characteristic of wool fibers and does not affect the quality or durability of the garment. To remove pills, gently use a fabric shaver or a sweater comb, taking care not to pull or damage the fibers.
SUSTAINABILITY & RECYCLING
Alpaca is naturally anti-microbial, so washing less helps maintain softness and longevity. Only wash when necessary.
Yes. Consider donating, upcycling, or returning items to a fiber recycling program to minimize waste and keep materials in circulation.
Yes. Alpaca fibers break down naturally, returning to the environment without harmful chemicals, making them a sustainable choice.
Air drying is best. It reduces energy use, protects the fibers, and keeps your garment in shape.
